‘X-Files,’ Hallmark Channel actor Michael Kopsa dies

Actor Michael Kopsa has died.

He was 66.

Kopsa’s agent, Jamie Levitt and his ex-wife both confirmed his Sunday morning death.

Levitt told CNN that Kopsa was “a force in our community, not only as an actor but as an artist, painter, musician and human being.”

Kopsa had been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Kopsa, who had been frequently cast in Hallmark Channel movies, was remembered by the channel, saying he is “always in our hearts.”

Kopsa both appeared on the screen and was heard through several voice-over roles, including that of Beast on “X-Men: Evolution,” Entertainment Weekly reported.

He was born in 1956 in Toronto and studied acting at New York’s Circle in the Square Theater School.

Kopsa also attended the University of Toronto, completing an arts and science degree, Entertainment Weekly reported.

He appeared in “The Outer Limits,” “The X-Files” and several feature films such as “Watchmen” and “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.”

Overall, Kopsa had about 227 acting credits, according to IMDB.
